Campus Ministry Honor Roll badge

Pennsylvania State University is not a Catholic college. This rating measures Catholic life on campus: campus ministry, priests, Mass and confession, student groups, and nearby parishes.

Nittany Catholic (Catholic Campus Ministries and the student-run Newman Catholic Student Association), sponsored by the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, serves Penn State's University Park campus from offices in the university's multi-faith Pasquerilla Spiritual Center and from the Suzanne Pohland Paterno Catholic Student Faith Center at 117 E Park Ave, just off campus. Two Benedictine priests, Fr. Joachim Morgan, OSB (director), and Fr. Barnabas O'Reilly, OSB, lead the ministry. During the semester Mass is offered twice every weekday and four times each weekend, with confession and Eucharistic adoration scheduled daily.
