Brigham Young University is not a Catholic college. This rating measures Catholic life on campus: campus ministry, priests, Mass and confession, student groups, and nearby parishes.

Catholic life on campus centers on the student-led Catholic Newman Club, an affiliated student group of BYU's Council for Interfaith Engagement, which has held Stations of the Cross, Vespers, Bible studies, social events, on-campus confessions with a local priest, and a January 2025 campus Mass that BYU Magazine calls the first on campus since the 1990s. BYU's University Chaplain lists St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orem first among nearby Catholic churches; it has Mass every day in English and Spanish, confession on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and adoration five weekdays.
